A 48-HOUR PERFORMANCE BY FRANK MOORE FOR FADO'S "TIME TIME TIME" IN TORONTO, CANADA, AUGUST 27-29, 1999.
When Paul Couillard first invited Frank to perform at his festival TIME TIME TIME he told Frank that the series was inspired by Frank’s extended time performances. Frank said he would like to do a 72 hour performance for this series. This was almost two years before the performance was scheduled to happen. During that two year period Frank performed at a weeklong festival the WE FEST in Wilmington North Carolina after which he got pneumonia and was hospitalized and was very sick and had this 72 hour performance coming up in Toronto! So Frank changed it to a 48 hour performance, had Paul rent him a hospital bed and changed the name of the performance to DYING IS SEXY figuring if he died during the performance it would be on theme!

How to Handle an Anthropologist, Session 4
Recorded August 15, 1997
In 1997 Frank was contacted by Russell Shuttleworth, a then University of California, Berkeley, graduate student, working on his Master’s Thesis, which was a research study to help understand how men with moderate to severe cerebral palsy experience and interpret their search for intimacy and sexual relationships in the face of significant social and cultural barriers or as Frank called it, "The Sexual Practices of Bay Area Men with Cerebral Palsy"!!! He wanted to interview Frank for this thesis. That interview quickly segued into 12 years of him interviewing Frank about Frank's life. Meanwhile, Frank encouraged Russell to live his dreams which resulted in Russell aka Dr. Gruve, djing a show on our LUVeR internet radio station for years and playing the harmonica in Frank's Cherotic All-Star Band for many years. They did 88 interviews in all, even continuing via Skype when Russell moved to Australia to teach there. Russell is now a Medical Anthropologist PhD and a member of the faculty at Deakin University in Geelong, Victoria Australia. We have the first twelve of these sessions on videotape. We are in the process of transcribing and editing all of the interviews into a book that Frank named "How to Handle an Anthropologist", http://www.eroplay.com/hthaa/.

Recorded in the early 1980's.
This video is an example of how a session can suddenly crack into deeper layers of different emotions, into tears, into questioning, all the while remaining incredibly erotic. Varda was a poet and a film maker who talked about her art with me and read some of her poems, all the while wearing see-through costumes and other times nude. But then she insisted that she was really shy and why was I so insensitive as to not see that. And that is when the video really gets interesting!
